#8 Butterfly Cupcakes

What an easy way to make a cute design. All you need to make the butterfly are two pretzels, an M&M, and licorice. This cupcake is courtesy of Martha Stewart.

#7 Tip

Here's a tip I learned from Betty Crocker: If you have only one pan and a recipe calls for more cupcakes than your pan will make, cover and refrigerate the rest of the batter while baking the first batch. Cool the pan about 15 minutes, then bake the rest of the batter, adding 1 to 2 minutes to the bake time.

#5 Cupcake Cones

Here's a cute cupcake idea I saw on Betty Crocker that I love! It is cupcakes in a cone, made to look like ice cream. So easy and yet so creative.

#4 Starbucks Cupcake

Here's an adorable idea i saw on Pinterest. It's an easy Starbucks cupcake that anyone can do. What you need is:
  • Yellow cake mix
  • Vanilla frosting
  • White cupcake liners/White plastic cups
  • Green straws
  • Starbucks logo (printed)
  • Tape/Glue
The cake mix I used was Pillsbury Moist Supreme Classic Yellow. The recipe called for oil which I replaced with butter, mixed it all up, then filled the cupcake liners to the top. I wanted to create a muffin-top effect so that the cupcake would hold well in the plastic cups. Then in the oven they went.
Here's what they look like after being cooled.

Next, I took these clear plastic cups that I found Target (white would look much better but was unavailable at my Target).

I glued my printed Starbucks logos onto the center of the cup. Then placed my cupcakes inside and got ready to frost. The frosting I used was Pillsbury Easy Frost in Vanilla Cream. Then I placed my green straw on top. This is the end result:

Some cupcakes did not fit in the cup so i decided to place them in white cupcake liners and they looked just as good.
You can choose to drizzle caramel over the top to get an even better Starbucks effect but i preferred it without. These were very easy to make and extremely delicious. Enjoy :)

#3 Tip

Here's a quick tip I learned from my mom: when the cupcake recipe calls for oil, use butter instead. This will make your cake moist, fluffy, and very delicious.
